Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium apple (preferably red, cored, and chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (natural or creamy)
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk (or any plant-based milk of choice)
  • ½ frozen banana (for added creaminess)
  • 1 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (for added flavor)
  • 4-5 ice cubes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds (optional, for added fiber and nutrients)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the apple: Wash, core, and chop the apple into small pieces. If you prefer a smoother texture, peel the apple, but leaving the skin on adds more fiber.
  • Add ingredients to blender: In the blender, combine the chopped apple, peanut butter, almond milk, frozen banana, honey or maple syrup (if using), cinnamon, and ice cubes.
  • Blend: Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if necessary.
  • Adjust consistency: If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more almond milk, one tablespoon at a time, until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Serve: Pour the smoothie into a glass or jar. Optionally, sprinkle some chia seeds or flax seeds on top for an extra nutritional boost.
